Welcome
SPORT BAR PRAHA was found in 1993 at the address Ve Smečkách 30, Prague 1 as the very first place of its kind in Czech Republic. The name "Sport Bar Praha" was changed in 1998 after the break up of owners and also the actual bar removal. The new name SPORTBAR ZLATÁ HVĚZDA wasn´t at all an accidental choice. It actually followed an old tradition of the antient house Ve Smečkách 12, Praha 1. In 2002 an antient alehouse in a basement was opened, with 700 years old stone well. There were over 400 seats in Sportbar Zlatá Hvězda by that time. The incredible attendance of over 1000 people at a time was recorded for the World Rugby Final in 2003. We were offering the widest sports programme in Czech Republic using 6 big screens and many plasma TV screens. An antient house where our sport bar was located had to be expensively recontructed in 2012. After the street Ve Smečkách had changed into an erotic zone we decided not to come back again.
The new Sport Bar is situated in Staroměstské náměstí (Old town square) and it is called SPORT BAR PRAHA once again and it offers the best we have learnt so far and it provides the top of what's technologically possible . We have HD monitors and the biggest screens unabling you to watch your favourite sport in 3D. We would like you to experience a technological miracle - 3D projector. Watching it you are very likely to forget where you are.
Matter - of - course remains the widest choice of sport programme in Czech Republic.
